How Arena’s AI works

Arena’s AI tools are free for everyone. This page says where they run, what they read, what they never do, and how every answer is checked before you see it.

Where it runs

• First, on Arena’s own graphics card. Your words are not sent to an outside AI company.
• Only if the Arena team switches it on, a paid backup service with a strict daily spending cap. It is off unless switched on.
• If neither is available, every tool still answers from Arena’s own rules and data. Nothing breaks.

Checks on every answer

• Orders hidden in your text (like “ignore your rules”) are caught, and the AI is never asked.
• Email addresses, phone numbers, postcodes and street addresses are taken out before any AI sees your text.
• Every number in an AI answer must be in the facts Arena gave it. Sentences with made-up numbers are removed, and if too much is made up, the whole AI answer is thrown away.
• AI answers never promote betting, and never explain how Arena’s forecasts work inside.
• For members under 16, any AI answer that mentions betting, other apps, phone numbers, meeting up or photos is refused.
• The same question gets the same answer all day, so two fans never get different facts.
• Anything written by AI is labelled as AI-made.

Where the facts come from

Every answer lists its sources under it. Most come from Arena’s own results archive, live match data, Arena Scout (open event data with its licence shown), and Arena’s graded calls. Follow any source to check the answer yourself.

Buttons under every answer

• One line or full answer: the same facts, shorter or longer.
• Read it to me: your device reads the answer aloud.
• Copy to share: the answer with a link back to the tool.
• Thumbs up or down: no words are kept, only which tool and which thumb.
• Report a mistake: sends the question and the answer you saw to the Arena team. Personal details are taken out first, and reports are deleted after 90 days.
• Ask a follow-up: ask “why?” or “and Spurs?” without starting again.
• Then: send the answer straight to the translator or the plain-words checker.
• Your recent tools are kept on your device only, never on Arena.

Switching it off

The Arena team can switch any one AI tool, or all of them, off at once. Each tool then answers from Arena’s own rules. Nothing you do on Arena depends on AI being on.
